The APCE
Endowment Committee has set a goal of $10,500 to be raised during this Annual
Event time—and is excited to announce that $1,650 has already come in! You can
make your contribution through Regonline, or stop at
the “Fan the Flame” booth while in

Annual APCE Breakfast. This year's breakfast will be held at

the names of educators who have died in the past year to me (please use the
contact through the website: Who We Are/officers) by Friday, January 21 st so we can remember them at the Annual Event.
Last reminder:
Educator of the Year nominations are due January 15—this Friday -- BEFORE the
Annual Event. The process works best if you secure endorsements from several
others so bear that in mind as you prepare the nomination paperwork. Information
and the nomination form are on the web site.
Don't forget to
contact your presbytery to request an endorsement or concurrence of the overture
re: Certified Christian Educators that Mission Presbytery is sending to the 219
th General Assembly. Many
presbyteries in the PC( USA) have meetings in February
or March. Don't delay. You will find the overture and other info on the website.
Check out the December 2009 Alert for comments from Judy Ferguson that she
presented to Mission Presbytery supporting the overture.
The deadline
for submitting workshop proposals for the 2011 annual event is February 15. The
form can be downloaded from the website.
