Jean Floyd Love
1996 Educator of the Year
"A top priority of each congregation is to really care for children. As educators we are called to base our planning on reflection of the biblical and theological mandates found in Jesus' example of welcoming children, including infants. 'Welcome' means we paln and carry out ministries that deepen and strengthen roots of love, faith and hope in children, youth and adults, regardless of their family configuration."
Jean Floyd Love grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. She is a graduate of the Presbyterian School of Christian Education and holds a doctorate degree in Early Childhood Education. Jean served on the staff of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina for thirteen years, as well as on the staffs of three churches in Texas.
The author of numerous pieces of the CE:SA (Christian Education: Shared Approaches) children's curriculum and PREM (Presbyterian Reformed Educational Ministry) children's resources, Jean also co-authored Get Ready!
