About A.P.C.E.

The mission of APCE is to connect, enrich, empower, and sustain persons serving in educational ministry in the Reformed family of Churches.

The Association of Presbyterian Church Educators is a professional association concerned with the advancement of education in the church and is committed to the on-going witness of our faith in the gospel.

APCE derives its strength from more than 1,500 members committed to the educational ministry of Presbyterian and Reformed congregations throughout the United States and Canada.

The Association provides:
  a channel to and from denominational structures;
  advocacy related to the status and standards for church educators;
  information about new models of education;
  interpretation of roles and responsibilities for educators and pastors;
  quality continuing education and leader development experiences for those involved in the educational ministry of the church.

Representation in the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators is through regional affiliation. The Association is formed into fourteen regions. Each region elects a representative to serve a three-year term on the Governing Cabinet. A representative is eligible to serve two consecutive terms if re-elected by the region. Officers of the Governing Cabinet are elected annually from among the members of the Cabinet.

Those who serve on the Governing Cabinet volunteer significant time and energy to make the annual event and other important APCE programs and projects possible. Since the strength of the Association is regionally based, you are encouraged to contact your Regional Representative to learn how YOU can be actively involved.
