The purpose of the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators, Inc. is to advance educational ministries in the Church and increase the ongoing witness of our faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. APCE encourages professional recognition through certification and/or designation, provides opportunities for improvement of professional skills, supports personal enrichment, actively advocates for church education, serves as a channel to and from denominational structures, and recognizes achievements and innovative contributions of church educators. The corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, religious, or scientific purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

APCE Cohort Survey

The Association of Presbyterian Church Educators is excited to announce the possibility of cohorts beginning this fall around a variety of topics. A cohort is an opportunity for you to gather with a small group of colleagues around an interest or a circumstance for guided conversation and goal setting. Cohorts are typically no larger than 8 people.


ENRICH Educator of the Year and Scholarships

Now available is the nomination form for one Award: ENRICH Educator of the Year. The deadline is October 15, 2020 for the year 2022. Please read the criteria and give serious thought to nominating a deserving person in educational ministry for this Award.

Also check out the various scholarship applications, and note the deadline of October 15, 2020 . Each scholarship has a different criteria, so please read the descriptions to determine which is the one for you. These scholarships help defray the cost of participation for those who want to enrich their own ministry by attending the 2021 Annual Event.



2021 President Elect Announcement

We are pleased to announce that Renda Brinson has been elected by the APCE Leadership Council to serve as APCE’s next President-Elect.  Here is a little bit about Renda:

Renda Brinson is a Certified Christian Education who has served in the Presbytery of Charlotte for over 20 years.  She currently serves as the Director of Christian Education at First Presbyterian Church in Monroe, NC and in a joint position as the Director of Christian Education Resource Center for the Presbytery of Charlotte and Union Presbyterian Seminary.
