Job Title: Christian Education Director for Children, Youth and Families
The Christian Education Director for Children, Youth and Families shall organize, provide resources, lead the Christian Education Program for children, youth and families and direct the work of the children’s and youth staff, both paid and volunteer

Leadership skills for managing volunteers and staff
Organizational skills: administration, planning, implementing, communication, budgeting.
Timely submission of information on Christian Education for church office/Christian Education Committee.
The CE Director for Children, Youth and Families will be accountable to the Church Staff Relations Committee through the Head of Staff.

Exercise and maintain a consistent level of professional behavior – courtesy, respect, understanding, forgiveness, helpfulness and reasonable leadership – toward all staff, church members, and visitors in accordance with the guidelines established by the First Presbyterian Church of Orange.
Abide by the Children and Youth Protection Policy of First Presbyterian Church of Orange.
Attend Christian Education meetings upon request.
Supervise and assist the work of the youth ministries staff, both paid and volunteer.
Supervise and assist the work of the children’s ministries staff, both paid and volunteer.
Organize, schedule, resource the yearly CE program for children, youth and families.
Together with the Christian Education Committee, develop goals and objective for the CE programs for children, youth and families.
Organize and lead Vacation Bible School with the Christian Education Committee, volunteers and staff.
Assist in the selection of educational resources for children, youth and families together with the Christian Education Committee, youth and children’s ministries staff and the Head of Staff.
Submit all reports necessary to the work of the Christian Education Committee at monthly meetings.
Provide articles for the newsletter, bulletin, web page as needed.
Prepare advertising articles for all programs for children, youth and families as needed.
Budget for yearly children’s, youth and families education programs with the Christian Education Committee.
Maintain weekly office hours.
Attend weekly staff meetings with the church staff.
Submit time sheets according to schedule with the Business Secretary.
Organize and lead meetings with the staff of the children’s, youth and family ministry, both paid and volunteer
Teach as needed.
Assist all teachers in educational programs for children, youth and families.
Write curriculum as needed with the counsel of the Head of Staff.
According to the Employment Agreement and Personnel Handbook signed with the First Presbyterian Church of Orange.
Complete a background check and fingerprinting.
Certification in First Aid and CPR must be completed within three months of hire.
