Position Description:
The Director of Children and Youth Ministry (DCYM) is responsible for providing hands-on leadership and innovation for FPC’s Children and Youth Ministry programs for children (Pre-K-grade 5) and youth (grades 6-12).
Core programs include: Confirmation Class, Vacation Bible-School, Community Service/Mission Outreach and more!
Discover new and fun recreational activities that will continue to engage our youth in meaningful Christian discipleship.

What You Do:
o Help youth to discover their God-given gifts, talents and abilities through faith-based learning programs.
o Develop and maintain Christian Ed. programs for preschool through senior high school-aged children.
o Collaborate with pastors & staff to coordinate liturgical activities i.e. First Communion, Confirmation and young-adult mission programs etc.
o Help recruit and foster relationships with Sunday School teachers and volunteers.
o Engage with parents/families to generate support and participation in Ministry programs.

Qualifications:
o 3-5+ years of experience in related fields
o Bachelor’s degree required. Concentration in Christian Education, Theology, Youth Ministry strongly desired.
o Training and/or experience in youth ministry.
o Experience with Community outreach.
o Highly motivated, organized and able to multi-task.
o Flexible work hours with the ability to work evenings and weekends (as required).
o Technical Proficiency in Communications, Social Media, E-Mail, etc.
o Ability to work hands-on with children of all ages.
