The Presbyterian Outlook is searching for its next editor/publisher. Long dedicated to the Reformed tradition, the Outlook provides insightful analysis, theological commentary, and congregational resources for the church that is, and casts a vision for the church that will be, amplifying a diversity of voices and perspectives through 18 print issues a year and a growing digital presence. The editor/publisher must be a theologian, writer, editor, ecclesiastical leader, and networker, as well as a business manager, team leader, and entrepreneurial thinker. The face of the Outlook, the editor/publisher casts the vision for each issue, assigns and edits articles and columns, and authors editorial content. The editor/publisher also manages the staff (who work remotely), oversees the budget, coordinates development and fundraising, and works closely with the Board of Directors. The position is full time and open to both ordained and non-ordained persons. We anticipate that the editor/publisher will work remotely. To express interest in the position please provide a writing sample and a CV or resume to Jim Allison at [email protected], or if you have questions please contact Jim at that email or by cell phone at (281) 450-5620.
