Julie is a local author and historian. She is a member of the Presbytery History Team and The Dismantling Racism and White Privilege Team of the Presbytery of Giddings-Lovejoy. She helped write An Apology to Our African American Sisters & Brothers for the Sin of Slavery and Its Legacy, which was adopted by the Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) General Assembly in 2022.
