MEMBERSHIP

APCE Membership

Any person, church, presbytery, synod, classis, resource center, or seminary involved in the educational ministry of the church may be a member of APCE.

Membership and participation in APCE is open to all serving in the Christian education and faith formation ministries of the church, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic status, professionals and volunteers, ordained and laity, ability, culture or education.

The payment of dues shall constitute membership in APCE. Membership is for twelve months and begins when payment is received and renews annually on that date.

Individual Membership

When you become an individual member of the Association of Partners in Christian Education, you receive . . .

  • The APCE Advocate–a weekly blog that disseminates news, current thinking, ideas, and good practices related to the ministry of Christian education in these Reformed denominations: the Presbyterian Church (USA), the Christian Reformed Church in North America, the Reformed Church in America, the Presbyterian Church in Canada, and the Moravian Church in America.
  • The APCE Alert – a regular email newsletter to keep you current with the latest and greatest happenings in the organization.
  • Discount on Registration Fees for the in-person annual event sponsored by the association.
  • Connection to Denominational Structures and active advocacy related to roles and responsibilities.
  • Status, Standards, and Educational Opportunities for church educators.
  • The APCE Web Site–available to help members and friends get current information and resources to connect with the mission of APCE. You can learn about continuing education opportunities, see photos from past events, and discover how to help the mission and ministry of APCE grow.
  • The Certification Council is a strong avenue for encouraging and strengthening the role of persons serving in a variety of educational ministries.
  • The APCE Scholarship Fund provides financial help to those seeking financial support to attend the annual event.

 

Membership Costs

Full-Time, Employed: $125.00 Regardless of your title or role (DCE, Children’s Ministry Director, Pastor/Associate Pastor, Youth Director, etc.), your $125 membership provides resources for others who may not have the same vocational opportunities.

Part-Time, Employed: $80.00 Your membership of $80 connects you with others who serve in educational ministry and provides advocacy and support for you

First-Time Member: $50.00 Your first-year membership of $50 will offer you all the resources and benefits of membership, plus provide discounts to the Annual Event, the opportunity to connect with others from across the country and around the world that are engaged in faith formation, and resources to support your ministry. Retired/65+: $50.00 Your $50 membership provides you with all the benefits of membership as well as resources for ministry and connections that can last a lifetime.

Student: $50.00 Your $50 membership provides you with all the benefits of membership as well as resources for ministry and connections that can last a lifetime.

Volunteer: $50.00 Whether you are a volunteer Sunday School teacher, youth leader, chair of the Christian Education Committee, small group leader, or plan events for all ages, APCE has something for you. Your $50 membership enables APCE to offer resources and connections for volunteers like you.

Lifetime Member: $0.00 A special honorary membership designation. Lifetime Member status is granted to past Presidents of APCE, Sustain (Lifetime Achievement) awardees, and Enrich (Educator of the Year) awardees upon notification of their retirement. This membership designation requires a discount code – if you are a lifetime member and do not have a code, contact Gina at [email protected] Note that you’ll see the Member w/ Full-Time Employment price until you add in your discount code.​

 

Organizational Membership
