APCE Scholarships

APCE is committed to making the Annual Event accessible to all who long to grow in their ministry of Christian education and faith formation.

In keeping with our Mission, Vision, and Values—to connect, enrich, empower, and sustain—we provide scholarships that open doors for educators and leaders to participate fully in our community.

These scholarships are made possible in part through the generosity of those who give to the Val Murphy Offering at the APCE Annual Event, honoring Val’s legacy of nurturing faith and supporting educators. Their contributions, along with the commitment of our wider APCE community, ensure that financial barriers do not stand in the way of learning, growth, and connection.

Currently, APCE offers three scholarship pathways, in addition to opportunities provided by our denominational partners:

JEDI Scholarship

Supports members who identify as part of historically marginalized communities, including:

  • Persons of color
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Neurodivergent persons
  • LGBTQ+ persons
  • Others who experience barriers in church leadership and Christian education

This scholarship reflects APCE’s commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI), ensuring that our gathering embodies the full richness of God’s people.

The application deadline was October 15.  Check back next year to apply for a scholarship for the 2027 APCE Annual Event.

Retired Educator Scholarship

Helps retired Christian educators who continue to share their gifts of wisdom and experience with our community remain connected and supported.
This scholarship acknowledges the invaluable legacy of those who have shaped generations of disciples and continue to inspire lifelong learning.
