APCE COVENANT MEMBER DENOMINATIONS
APCE Covenant Member Denominations
APCE is an association made up of those who are serving or have served in educational ministries, as ministers, professional or volunteer educators, or students, in the following five denominations. The covenant relationship with each denomination is through its designated denominational entity:
Canadian Ministries works with congregations and presbyteries to support and equip congregations for faithful and vibrant ministry in the world to which Christ came for which he died.
The Reformed Church in America is a fellowship of congregations called by God and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be the very presence of Jesus Christ in the world. Our shared task is to equip congregations for ministry—a thousand churches in a million ways doing one thing—following Christ in mission, in a lost and broken world so loved by God.
Faith Formation Ministries encourages and equips local Christian Reformed ministry leaders in their calling to shape lifelong faith formation in their context so that all generations have an intentional and resilient faith.
Education has always played a vital part in Moravian church life. Moravian schools and some colleges are found in Germany, England and America as well as in mission fields. Strong Christian educational programs are an integral part of each congregation’s life. Camps, conferences and retreats are held in each area of the church for children, youth and adults.
Our covenant relationship with the PC(USA) is through two of its denominational entities: The Presbyterian Mission Agency (PMA) and the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation (PPC).
The Presbyterian Mission Agency is the ministry and mission agency of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Four ministry areas carry out our work: Compassion, Peace & Justice; Racial Equity & Women’s Intercultural Ministries; Theology, Formation & Evangelism; and World Mission. We work together to inspire, equip and connect all Presbyterians for the church’s work.
The mission of the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation is to glorify God by contributing to the spiritual and intellectual vitality of Christ’s church. To that end, PPC publishes resources that advance religious scholarship, stimulate conversation about moral values and inspire faithful living
