This Director of Youth Ministry (DYM) is entrusted with the development and oversight of a holistic youth ministry aimed at nurturing spiritual growth and fostering community engagement among middle and high school students (grades 6 – 12th) at the Presbyterian Church in Westfield. This role presents a significant opportunity to impact the spiritual and personal development of youth within a supportive church community, emphasizing growth in faith and services. This position reports into the Associate Pastor.
Some of the responsibilities will include program development and implementation, spiritual leadership, volunteer management, administrative duties and professional development. *(Examples of each are included on the attached job descriptor).
Looking for someone with a passion to work with youth and families in the Chistian faith, with strong communication skills and church leadership. A background in education, biblical studies, theology or equivalent experience is required. Being proficient in digital media platforms and able to attend evening meetings and occasional weekend events is necessary.
