Minister/Director for Ministry with Children and Their Families
First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor
Ann Arbor, MI
First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor believes children are fully alive to God’s wild and loving Spirit. Families of all shapes and sizes are essential to our shared life. To worship, grow, and serve with the children and families in our community is a gift—one that invites mutual discovery, deepens our faith, and reminds us how we belong to one another. Across generations, our worship is made more profound by the presence and participation of children and their families.
This full-time position provides strategic leadership and coordination for ministry with children and their families, including Sunday mornings, special events, and summer activities—all in collaboration with program staff and children’s music staff. The Minister/Director reports to the lead pastor and helps shape and articulate the vision for children’s ministry alongside staff, session, and the congregation.
The Minister/Director will cultivate meaningful connections with families, fostering rhythms of communication rooted in trust and belonging. With a heart for welcome and a vision for growth, they will help weave new and existing families more fully into the life of the church – inviting them not only to participate, but to belong and be known within the wider congregation.
