Rev. John Yu is the lead pastor of True Light Community Church in Aurora, CO. He leads both Korean speaking and English speaking groups of TLCC. He considers himself to be a bridge builder between the generations and cultures, particularly in immigrant context. He leads Racial Ethnic Diversity Workgroup for the Presbytery of Denver, and is involved with several organizations, that seeks to build up immigrant or minority churches. He has just completed his Doctorate of Education Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary, with his final project on Bilingual, Intergenerational Worship and Ministry in Korean American Churches. He received M.Div. from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and his B.A. from Brandeis University. Besides ministry, he enjoys sports, trying new food, travelling, and spending time with family. He is married and God has blessed him with three beautiful children.
