Tap into the Power of PC(USA) Programs and Missions Network with the PC(USA) to Enhance Christian Education and Formation Ministries in the Local Church
Led by Stephanie Fritz of the Christian Formation office at the Presbyterian Mission Agency, this seminar will serve dual purposes:
Introduce attendees to the wide array of resources available through the PC(USA) Program Ministries for use in Christian formation and educational ministry in the local church setting. Attendees will experience first-hand the many options for church school studies, mission enhancement, programming for intergenerational or age-and-stage educational and spiritual formation.
This course will also meet the requirements for the Program & Mission portion of the CE Certification process.
During our time together we will become familiar with the Presbyterian Mission Agency Office of Christian Formation, other PC(USA) agencies doing formation work and the partner organizations that the formation office is helping to work together in support of Faith Formation Across a Lifetime.
Session 1: Matthew 25 Vision and the mission priorities of the Presbyterian Mission Agency
Session 2: Forming lifelong disciples who are grounded in the reformed tradition and equipped for evangelism.
Session 3: Forming lifelong disciples who are equipped to be peacemakers and witnesses to the world.
Session 4: Forming lifelong disciples who engage the reformed tradition to work towards justice and equity for all God’s people.

A PCUSA Resources packet of free materials will be sent to all who register by September 15th.
Presenter
Before beginning her work in Christian education in 2005, Stephanie managed large childcare centers. Her training and experience in early childhood education became the impetus for her to create and launch two highly successful nonprofit preschools, and eventually led to a call to serve as a Christian educator. Stephanie has served several churches in the Denver area, as well as a resource center, and she currently serves as the Associate Coordinator for Christian Formation in the Presbyterian Mission Agency in Louisville.
Stephanie’s educational background is in early childhood education and organizational management with an emphasis in Christian leadership, and her leadership is clearly recognized by many throughout APCE and the PC(USA). She has served as a POINT representative and as the Rocky Mountain Region representative with APCE. She served seven years as a member of the APCE Annual Event Team, five as Moderator. She has served as the moderator of the General Assembly Special Committee to Study the Reformed Perspective of Christian Education in the 21st Century. She now staffs this committee as the liaison from the Presbyterian Mission Agency.
Stephanie seeks to empower educators to be more engaged, more creative, more imaginative, more effective in ministry, and to empower the church in all its forms to be more attentive to and aware of the tremendous gift Christian educators are to the church. Stephanie empowers all of us to be better educators, to be better advocates for ourselves and others, and to be better Christians.
