Hotel and Travel

We are excited to introduce you to this year’s hotel – the Historic Peabody Memphis.

With a style and tradition befitting one of Memphis’ grandest, most legendary hotels, The Peabody Memphis offers a magnificent bridge between the “Blues City’s” celebrated past and cosmopolitan present.

Known as the “South’s Grand Hotel,” The Peabody Memphis is legendary for its charm, elegance, gracious hospitality, and rich history. This Memphis icon, opened in 1869, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is world-famous for its five resident Mallard ducks, who march daily through the lobby at 11:00am and 5:00pm.

Come early and participate in one of our great Pre-events or just enjoy Memphis and the luxury of the Peabody Hotel. Stay after the conference for a Post-event or to enjoy the city and the hotel.

TRAVEL

Memphis Internation Airport (MEM) – flymemphis.com

For ground transportation throughout the week, we recommend using Taxis or ridesharing services such as Uber or Lyft.

DINING

Here is a list of recommendations from some Memphis locals that serve on our local committee.

Huey’s – Burgers, sandwiches, bar food (iconic Memphis restaurant)

Majestic Grill – a bit upscale, great food and large menu, in an old movie house…shows movies in the background while you eat.

Aldo’s pizza – really good pizza

Flying Fish – Grilled, blackened, fried fish and seafood served in little baskets, really laid-back vibe

McEwen’s Memphis –  Upscale with a great bar and delicious food.

The Rendezvous – iconic bbq joint that is (for some) a must do. Not my favorite, but on all the Diners and Drive-ins kinds of shows.

Sage – haven’t been but I’ve heard GREAT things.

Itta Bena – in BBKing’s place on Beale Street. Great food and the COOLEST vibe.

The Arcade – a bit farther away, but good diner food, and Elvis ate there.
