Originally from Edwardsville, IL, Michael serves as the Pastoral Intern at the Dwelling in Winston-Salem, NC. He is also the Program Director at Spark’Dwell, a non-profit which hosts Spirit and Service Learning Experiences. He received a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt Divinity School in May 2022 and is a candidate for Word and Sacrament Ministry in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Before working at the Dwelling, Michael served as the Director of Christian Education at First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon. TN. He also has experience as a high school English teacher in high-needs, Title I schools in Memphis and St. Louis. Michael is passionate about equitable mission experiences and his pastoral work centers on building inclusive communities of faith where all are welcome without asterisk.
